Shana Sritharan - Counselling Psychologist, BSc (Hons), MSc, Post-MSc

 

As a therapist, I have accumulated experience of counselling in a broad range of settings and with a variety of client groups. I have worked with groups, families, couples, adults/individuals, children and adolescents. My background in experience lies in working for the NHS and private sector both in Canada and the UK.

 

I am currently working as a therapist in the Psychological Therapies Services at a Hospice in East London. I am in my final stages of completing my Doctorate and my current research interests include studying attachment, meaning making, and identity in relation to bereavement and loss.

 

I work within an integrative therapeutic framework comprising of elements of Person-Centred, CBT and Existential-Phenomenological Approaches. I am a registered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and adhere to their codes of conduct and ethical guidelines.
