Abby Waldman - Osteopath
Abby Waldman is a graduate of the British School of Osteopathy. She is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and a member of the British Osteopathic Association.
Osteopathy can provide effective treatment for:
• back and neck pain
• sciatica and trapped nerves
• joint and muscle pain
• arthritic pain and stiffness
• repetitive strain injuries
• sports injuries
• headaches
• frozen shoulder
• pregnancy-related pain
• ...and more
Osteopaths look at the relationship between the structure of your body and how well it functions. Your health and well-being depend on your body's joints, with their associated tissues (muscles, tendons, nerves and blood vessels) working smoothly together and supporting each other in good health.
Osteopathy is also a philosophy of health. A key principle in osteopathy is that our bodies have the in-built potential to heal. We work with our patients as individuals to remove blocks to healing and restore the body's ability to heal itself.
Abby uses manual therapy - touch, physical manipulation, stretching and massage - to improve joint mobility, relieve muscle tension, reduce pain levels and to improve the blood and nerve supply to tissues. Your treatment plan may include self-help strategies for pain relief, advice on posture and exercise and stretching and strengthening exercises if appropriate.
Osteopathy can help with:
• reduced pain levels
• better mobility
• a faster return to your everyday life and activities
• a personal toolkit to help you manage your symptoms while you recover
• greater body awareness for the future
• peace of mind and confidence from understanding what is wrong, how to help yourself now, and how to stay healthy in the future
